With 25 years of experience of International Business & Project development, Janne Nuutinen, MBA has become a one of the pioneer’s in transforming waste management into a circular opportunity in emerging economies. RiverRecycle’s projects and collaborations spread to nine countries and connect affected communities to global brands and governments active in tackling the problem of plastic pollution.

Our goal is to stop plastic waste from entering the oceans while creating long-lasting positive change. RiverRecycle has created a unique business model to offer problem owners – national and local governments – a sustainable river cleaning service without the need for constant funding. Our patented technology effectively cleans the rivers from plastic pollution and our circular business model provides hosting communities with decent jobs, social and environmental improvement. In a circular economy, we create a waste management system that supports local municipalities in effectively managing plastic waste. This model offers communities safe and fair work and helps to stimulate the economy by involving companies who will buy the end products of the river cleaning and recycling system. Our developers are working on projects in seven different countries, and we plan to install 500 river cleaning solutions over the next five years. Through our operations in the Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, India, and Ghana, we are effectively removing over 150,000 kg of waste from rivers every month.
Andy Waroma is the founder of one of Asia's leading cloud-managed services companies, and also represents the European Cloud Alliance in the Asia Pacific, focusing on promoting cloud innovations in the region. He has lived and worked in Singapore for 22 years. His first eleven years in the region were spent with SAP in various management positions. In SAP, Andy worked with SAP’s largest customers and partners around the Asia Pacific region. In 2014, Andy and his co-founder decided to set up a cloud consultancy and a cloud-managed services company: Cloud Comrade.
With over 25 years of experience in the technology sector, Andy has always been at the leading edge of innovation, eager to adopt new emerging technologies and business practices while keeping things simple and practical at the same time. From getting startups to take off to creating new lines of businesses for multinational companies, Andy is known for driving many of the “firsts” in the terms of new technology initiatives and customer implementations.
Andy is currently a Board Member, the Co-managing Director, as well as the founder of Cloud Comrade, a Singapore-based, multi-award-winning, enterprise-focused cloud computing consultancy enabling companies in Southeast Asia with their cloud strategy, design, deployment, and management. In addition, he serves as an Advisory Board member at InfraGuard.
